Looking for simple, cheap website design for your small business? If you don’t have the time or inclination to edit it yourself, you may need a basic website, aka a “static” site.

Whilst my affordable website packages are better for SEO, not everyone needs that, or their power and flexibility. So if you don’t expect your basic website content to change much, learning to edit your site can seem like a hassle.

That’s why I offer these basic websites from just £600.

Why Choose Static Sites?

Customers and search engines prefer sites that are updated regularly. So most firms prefer editable “dynamic” sites that let them do simple text and image changes in-house. Such sites run on databases that also let them handle complex user interactions, such as membership systems, advanced forms, and full e-commerce.

Still, if you don’t need such features, we can drop the database and a lot of code. That makes static websites simpler, faster and more secure than dynamic sites.

What Can Basic Websites Do?

Static sites are normally limited to basic “brochure” websites. Still, if built professionally, they can adapt to multiple screen sizes (aka “responsive web design”) to present your offers effectively on desktop and mobile devices.

Basic doesn’t have to mean boring, though. Even basic websites can support things like buttons, interactive maps and videos. Crucially, they can also support enquiry forms and let visitors download resources like PDFs. So basic sites can help you gather leads, too.
